PKU Gala

Lifting the Limits for PKU

The Nashville community and PKU (phenylketonuria) advocates from around the nation came together for an incredible and memorable evening of fundraising at the “Lifting the Limits for PKU” gala hosted at Marathon Music Works. With 475 guests welcomed by masters of ceremonies, Woody and Jim from 107.5 the River enjoying special music by featured artist, Charles Esten, of ABC’s hit show, Nashville. Dinner was prepared by community favorite, Chef’s market, and the event festivities were captured via painting by Nashville renowned artist, Deann Hebert. The event raised over $400,000 by way of sponsorship, donations, and live and silent auctions. This special event was the first of its kind for the Tennessee PKU community, and was also the launch of a national campaign by an organization called the National PKU Alliance (NPKUA), in an effort to raise significant funds and awareness for a rare metabolic disorder called Phenylketonuria (PKU).

Water Revolution was auctioned off at a silent auction at a PKU at the Zoo event. It was fun for me and my wife to go and enjoy the day at the zoo with friends and all of the excited kids. It was great to be a part of another successful PKU event.
